The Spanish
in general love to party and Lanzarote is no exception! The main areas
for bars, discos and night clubs are in the capital Arrecife
(along Jose Antonio Street in the centre) as well as the two largest
tourist centres - Puerto del Carmen, around Avenida de las
Playas (near the Waikiki Bar) or the city's old port, and in Costa
Teguise on the Avenida de las Islas Canarias near the Toca shopping
centre (centro commercial Toca).
Bars are
open all day every day until the wee hours. Discos and nights clubs
usually open around 11 pm and close when the last body has left (usually
around 5 or 6 in the morning).
